It's Been A While
Yeah I know, it's been too long sense my last update, and I only have myself to blame for that. I have been working on some projects that have been taking up a lot of my time. I have another website going up soon. It will primarily work as a family blog for a friend of mine. I also have a digital catalog I have been working on for some time now that is finally going into production for another client of mine.
I will put links up as soon as they are finished.
New Blog Posts
As part of my site redesign and transition to a more "dynamic" site, I have started a simple blog. Check it out, the link is just to the left. You can read some tips I write about, my latest projects, and sometimes my frustrations.
Why a CMS? What is a CMS?
A CMS or Content Management System is just that. It allows you the easily change the content of a website without having to know how to write html or CSS. As a designer I never thought it a big priority as I knew how to write this code, but for my clients, it was kind of a pain to always have to call me to have a site updated. Now the client has control of the content of their site. You add the content, and you can even have web users comment on the content.
This way I can concentrate on design and you can concentrate on good content. Best of both worlds.
